The Stiftung ear was founded in 2004 by manufacturers and associations of the electrical and electronics industry as a “joint institution” of bodies subject to the ElektroG (Act regulating the sale, return and environmentally sound disposal of electrical and electronic equipment). After the ElektroG came into force, all manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment are required to register their respective products with the Stiftung Elektro Altgeräte Register (Stiftung ear). This is to ensure a professional and proper disposal of the produced goods. At the same time, registration with the Stiftung ear is a mandatory requirement in Germany in order to be allowed to sell electrical and electronic equipment at all. Registration with the Stiftung ear sometimes presents a major challenge for many companies. The requirements are complex and often difficult to fathom for the legal layman.
This is exactly where Deutsche Recycling Service GmbH can help you. With our many years of expertise, we are your contact for registration with the Stiftung ear.
